Word, Thought, and Prayer for Day Twenty-Four

Word:

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!” (Revelation 12:1-12a, NIV)

Meditation Thought: Our prayers and conversations and words with God, are testimonies of our belief in Him and in His rescuing power. Our word of testimony is also the deliverance God has provided to us as we speak to him through our prayer. And that word of testimony has the power to defeat the one who accuses us “day and night” before God.

Prayer: There is power in our prayer, God! I have never realized this! The words we speak to You are proofs of our belief in You, and these words are powerful! We defeat evil, not by might, or by strength, but by the words we speak on behalf of You. Every word we speak is spoken in Your presence, and every word we say is a prayer to You. Thank You for giving us this power, and may our prayers keep evil from us! Thank You, God!
