Word:
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
Meditation Thought: where I spend my time and money often reflects where my heart is, and what is important to me.
Prayer: Dear Father, it is difficult to keep proper perspective and balance when it comes to money. I think about my future and I worry whether I will have enough when I retire. Your Word tells me that You take care of the birds and You clothe the lilies of the field. I pray that I will learn to trust You and not be consumed with laying up treasures here on earth. Thank You for Your promises to provide all my needs, in Jesus name. Amen.
