Day Thirteen of the Forty Days of Prayer of the MoSt Church (January 14, 2011)

Hebrews 10:21
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance faith brings.

Meditation Thought:  Have you ever been traveling and trying to listen to a program on the radio (for guys, that’s usually a ball game) that’s being broadcast on a station you can barely get? There’s static or other programs on the frequencies all around your station, and it’s difficult to keep tuned to the station you want to hear  That happens spiritually when we get too far from God.  The world crowds in all around us broadcasting so clearly all the distractions that Satan offers.  The only solution for us is to tune in closely to what God says, and begin moving our lives closer to Him.  You’ve probably noticed that the closer you get to a radio station, the more clearly you receive its signal.  It’s that way with God, too.

Prayer:  God, help us to draw so near to You that we have no trouble hearing the messages You have for us.  We need your guidance and strength in our lives, and we can only receive it when we are close enough to hear You and feel You leading us through this life.  In the name of Your beloved Son, Amen.
