Day Nineteen of the Forty Days of Prayer of the MoSt Church (January 20, 2011)

Matthew 22:29 (NIV)
You are in error because you do not know that Scriptures or the power of God … I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.  He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

I Corinthians 6:19, 20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought with a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.

Meditation Thought:  The power of God is available to me.

Prayer:  Father in Heaven, you desire to share with me Your power.  Forgive me for not understanding the Scriptures and not knowing Your power in my life.  I pray that I will come to know Your power through an experience of deliverance from my enemies.  My prayer to You, O God, is for You to defeat the enemies of discouragement and depression that surround me. Instead, I pray for You, O God, to surround me, just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, with Your power and protection.  I pray for a greater understanding of the Holy Spirit and his work in my life.  I pray through the One who promised the Holy Spirit to come, Amen.
