Word, Thought, and Prayer for Day Twenty-Eight

Word:

So all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work and said to Moses, “The people are bring more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.” Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: “No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” And so the people were restrained from bringing more, for the material they had was sufficient and more than enough for all the work, to perform it. (Exodus 26:4-7)

Meditation Thought: Excitement grows when everyone is giving.

Prayer: I thank You, Father, that it does not all depend on me. You are the One to be praised and glorified when Your people give so generously. Thank You that our church family at Missouri Street gives collectively, because together, united in giving, mighty works and acts of kindness are done in Your name. Thank You for blessing us in such a way that we could give to others who are in need. May our giving to others give them reason to praise Your holy name. I thank You in the name of Jesus, Amen.
