Word, Thought, and Prayer for Day Forty

Word:

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” (Revelation 12:10-12)

Meditation Thought: We are in a great battle with Satan. This passage states that there are two things that enable us to triumph over Satan, our great accuser. One is the blood of Jesus, and the other is our words of testimony. It is a powerful thought to realize that our words help bring our ultimate victory over Satan.

Prayer: O Lord, You did your part to win this battle by shedding your blood as our Passover Lamb. Help me do my part by making sure the words of my testimony are positive and well-chosen. Let me not endanger our victory by careless or cutting words. Rather, let me be a powerful force for good by the words I speak. In the name of Our Lamb, who shed His blood for us, Amen.
