Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

God has given us all common sense and free will to make choices and decisions in our lives. Even though God has given us those capabilities that does not mean we don’t need his guidance in our lives. A child of God should take great comfort in knowing that we can go to him with anything in our lives. Psalms 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield.

Many times in my life and especially as a single parent part of my life, I have taken great comfort knowing I could go to God. Many times, I have said, “God, I don’t know what the answer or solution is, please give me the guidance and wisdom I need to handle this problem.” The answer may not have always been what I wanted but looking back I can clearly see God’s hand at work and know that is what God’s will was for my life.
