1 John 3:18
It’s so much easier to say than to do. For students, it’s easy to tell the teacher that you’ll study hard. For parents, it’s easy to tell your kids “next time”. As a Christian it’s easy to say “I love you”.
All of the things listed are easy to say and not to do. Christians are expected to love. Love is what God is, and we belong to God.
In 1 John 3:18, John is giving us life advice. In a biblical way, he’s telling us that It’s Easier Said Than Done. He says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
This means Love is easy to say and not to show. We are called to show it just like Christ did. Satan says it’s not important to show but to make sure you say it.
Over the next few days, make it a point to show and not say. It’s received in a different light!
