Galatians 5:22-23

In Paul’s letter to the Galatians (5: 22-23), Paul tells the church:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Just previous to these two verses, Paul describes the sinful world. Unrepentant sinners will be judged. The world has not changed since Paul wrote these words. Immorality is rampant. The world is filled with hate, violence, revenge etc. That kind of world can never be a happy place.

But true Christians are happy and not under the law. The closer we get to God the better we experience his power. That kind of power changes our lives. It transforms us. As believing Christians we enjoy the power that the Holy Spirit gives us and we produce fruit. That fruit blesses us and blesses others.

Enjoy this day knowing that God loves you. Experience a little heaven on earth today. Stay close to God, be secure in your salvation and smile about it!
