Day Five of the Forty Days of Prayer (January 6, 2011)
Judges 2:22; 3:1, 2
“I will use them [other nations] to test Israel and see whether they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in them as their forefathers did. These are the nations the Lord left to test all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan, He did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience.”
Meditation Thought: God uses my enemies to teach me the battle of spiritual warfare and the importance of my being God-centered.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to see that the tests You send into my life are to teach me to always be God-centered. I pray that I will be a strong warrior and will learn how to battle against the dark spiritual forces. I pray that I will be centered on what You are teaching me in life and what You are shaping me to be for Your kingdom. My life in this world is to be surrendered to You for Your purpose and not my own. I pray that I will always keep this in my heart and on my mind, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
