Part 2: Centered in Communication with God
Living a God-centered life requires building and maintaining a relationship with God. The lifeline of any relationship is communication. Communication involves our talking to God in prayer, but it also involves our taking the quiet time to listen to Him and feel His guidance and direction in our lives. Once we have listened and received God’s guidance, maintaining that relationship requires that we obey and follow His direction

Day Nine of the Forty Days of Prayer at The MoSt Church (January 10, 2011)
Psalm 17:6, 7
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.
Meditation Thought: On rare occasions in our lives we may encounter famous celebrities. Usually at the very best we may gent an autograph or a photo, but almost never a conversation or a relationship. Teens may read about their favorite celebrities and even hang their pictures on bedroom walls, but that’s not a relationship.
The awesome thought we consider today is the Creator of the universe — the One whose name is exalted above every name — wants a relationship with us. We don’t have to send a text message, He hears and responds to our thought messages. We don’t even have to maneuver our thumbs on a keypad.
Prayer: O God, You created the heavens and the earth. But more than that You created sunsets, and butterflies, and babies, and love, and everything else that is wonderful in our world. We are in awe of Your greatness, yet we feel the tenderness of Your love and the attentiveness of Your ear every time we call out to You. Help us never to get so busy that we fail to take time to share with You our cares and praises. Thanks for always being there. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
