I find it most interesting that when God spoke to Moses in the burning bush, his first task was to gather the people in the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord God. God sent him to Egypt to gather the Israelite elders and go before the king of Egypt and say, “The LORD, the GOD of the Hebrews has met with us. Let us take a three day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our GOD,” (Ex.3:18).

In our journey towards deliverance from the slavery of sin, offering worship to the LORD our GOD is essential. It reminds us of who is in control. Yesterday we mentioned that we cannot truly worship God if we are full of ourselves. Add to that, we cannot worship when we are in control. GOD wants us to give Him glory in our brokenness, in our emptiness and in our weakness. In doing that He binds up our wounds, fills us with His Spirit, and leads us with His mighty Strength.

The Challenge today, “offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of Worship,” (Rom.12:1). Be blessed today as you encounter His deliverance.
